An Elite Mastermind with Ken Davenport and Tony Award-Winning Guest Speakers

The Inner Circle is an intimate mastermind-style training program for advanced theater professionals who are looking to get their shows produced.

Through a combination of fireside chats with A-List Broadway industry professionals and roundtable discussions, members of The Inner Circle receive a holistic education on every aspect of the theater business.

Every quarter, our members gather for one weekend to learn from the best in the business, make new connections with theater insiders, and get their specific questions answered . . . all with the goal of advancing their projects towards full production. A few of our illustrious guests have included Tony Award-Winners Robyn Goodman, Todd Haimes, Jack Viertel, David Henry Hwang, Stacey Mindich and many more.

Our members receive time to speak with our guest speakers post-discussion and also forge connections with the other members of the Inner Circle (many have gone on to form collaborations). Many of our members and alumni have had their productions run Off Broadway, received licensing deals, been in festivals, toured regionally, and more.

Ever feel like you’re all alone in your pursuits? You won’t after one weekend.

Writers/Producers of Emergency The Musical

How would 2 guys from the Midwest, where corn and cows set the scene, fit in the New York City theatre world? Our welcome couldn’t have been warmer. Ken and his team made us feel very at ease, and we quickly became friends with our colleagues in the group. Now, 9 months into our program, we have written a second musical called One Night Only, have produced the world premiere of Emergency to fantastic critical reviews, released our tracks on Spotify and iTunes and we're setting our sights on a full production of our show in New York City in 2019. None of this would be possible without Ken Davenport and The Inner Circle.

When we joined the Inner Circle, Bonhoeffer the Musical was on the seemingly interminable treadmill of one rewrite after another. Now, though, it not only has a couple of NYC readings and three resoundingly successful concerts under its belt, we are looking forward to a 29-hour reading on December 14, 2018 at off-Broadway’s own Signature Theater on 42nd Street. We have every confidence that, with the Inner Circle’s continued assistance, we’ll be able to achieve our goal of opening Bonhoeffer the Musical on Broadway itself in the shortest possible time.

Ken Davenport and the Inner Circle helped me rediscover my dream, and in doing so, reconnect to the person who fell in love with musical theatre when he was just a boy. From Ken’s first advice to me, “Go book a theatre and put up your show,” to the invaluable action items Ken gave me through consultations, seminars, webinars and interactions at Inner Circle meetings, I am no longer afraid to be true to myself. Also, networking, sharing, and learning from my fellow Inner Circle members and various Tony Award-winning artists who meet with us regularly has filled my toolbox for many years to come.
