This Sunday’s Giveaway: 2 Tickets to CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!
I'll never forget when Hairspray first came into town. As is the case with most Broadway musicals, a few freebies were given to some of the Broadway staffers in town.
And then . . .
A bunch of those freebies were taken back.
Why? Because the word-of-mouth kicked in so fast, they started selling to the back wall of the Neil Simon in the first week of previews!
Well, Catch Me If You Can, which opens on April 10th, is reuniting that very same Hairspray creative team again (Terrence McNally, Marc Shaiman, Scott Whitman, Jerry Mitchell and Jack O'Brien), so I wouldn't be surprised if the word-of-mouth on this one spread faster than soft butter on a hot roll.
And Catch Me is produced by two of my faves, Margo Lion (who besides producing big Broadway musicals, also serves on the President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities), and my former boss and the Producer of Thoroughly Modern Millie, Movin' Out, Legally Blonde and more, Hal Luftig.
The cast? Norbert "I helped save Ken when I filled in for the Mercury-Laden Putz known as Piven on Speed-the-Plow" Butz, and BroadwaySpace.com's Hottest Guy on Broadway 2009, Aaron Tveit.
And the audience to a future performance features . . . one of you!
Yep, we've got two tickets to give away to see Catch Me (as always, some restrictions may apply.)
Here's how you enter:
On the left side of my blog towards the top, underneath the "Become a Fan" header, there's a Facebook Like button. Click it. Note to Email and Reader subscribers, you have to visit www.TheProducersPerspective.com to see it)
The winner of the Catch Me If You Can tickets will be chosen from one of the "Likers".
Good luck all! Winner announced next Sunday! Like away!
