Billy-elliot-3 Who said being a ballet dancer wasn't cool?

Over the years, people have slammed the movie to musical trend of Broadway adaptations.

I'd like to see them try to slam Billy Elliot. In a strange way, Billy doesn't even feel like an adaptation of a movie.  It's feels entirely original, which is a credit to the terrific job done by the authors and the director, Stephen Daldry.  It also helps that the source material screamed "Musicalize me!  Musicalize me!"

What?  You haven't seen it?

Now's your chance.
