Love-loss-and-what-I-wore-basic The number of commercial Off-Broadway shows that have recouped their investment in the last 20 years can be counted on two hands . . . at the most.

One of those shows is the uniquely Ephronistic, Love, Loss & What I Wore, which has been running for almost 2 years at the Westside Theatre, and which rotates new stars in the roles every four weeks (almost as often as Chicago on Broadway).

If you haven't seen LL&WIW, now is your chance, because one reader is getting two free tickets.

Here's how to win:

There have been a lot of ladies that have taken the stage at The Westside.  Comment below with the name of a woman that has never acted before on stage, screen or elsewhere that you'd like to see try their hand at LL&WIW.

An example?  Hilary Clinton.  I think she'd turn it out.

Go!

49 Responses to The Sunday Giveaway: 2 Tickets to Love, Love and What I Wore Off Broadway

    1. Susan says:

Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg. She stays out of the limelight and says umm too much, but she still holds my interest as the last member of the mythical family of President Kennedy.

    2. Eden says:

Nancy Pelosi. Can you see it? It would be FANtastick!

    3. Eden says:

Ooooh, how about Pippa Middleton!? She’d be perfect! Fit right in with the ladies:-)

    4. Sarah P. says:

Rachel Maddow would be a fresh addition to the cast! :)

    5. Dana Marie says:

Nigella Lawson – (she had a show, but it was cooking)

    6. connie says:

      Kate Middleton

    7. Nancy Paris says:

Marie Antoinette, and what she wore was definitely NOT a hat.

    8. Joyce says:

      Barbara Walters!

    9. elliemartino@optonline.net says:

      Stephanie Meyer?

    10. Lauren C. says:

      Betty White.

    11. Vana says:

      Rachel Ray

    12. Vana says:

Betty White has acted on TV in 3 series!

    13. Vana says:

      Gloria Steinem

    14. Vana says:

Kim Kardashian. You call that acting?

    15. Monica Lewinsky, we already know what she wore

    16. Vana says:

      LaToya Jackson

    17. gj cabana says:

Margaret Thatcher, the closest the show will ever get to having a man in it (sorry elton)

    18. Tina says:

      Serena Williams

    19. jessica says:

Ahhh I’m sure I am going to a lot of flack with this, but I would love to see Sarah Palin take on LL&WIW!! While I do not follow politics in the slightest, I just loved her show on TLC. I think she can really hold her own. She’s got personality, a strong opinion and the huge family experience that she can definitely relate to if on that stage.

    20. Katherine says:

What popped immediately into my head was Rachel Maddow! Ah, I see she already popped into someone else’s head. But whoa, wouldn’t she add an interesting tone to that group of women?!

    21. Elizabeth says:

      Meredith Viera… She’s sassy!

    22. Sabra says:

      Michele Obama

    23. Alex says:

      Julia Roberts.

    24. Keith Golden says:

Snooki. haha. That would be funny!

    25. Auntie F says:

Marry Higgins Clark. She spins a great tale in all of her books and speaks beautifully in interviews. That combination should be extraordinary on stage!

    26. Brittany says:

      My mother!

    27. Dave says:

I’ve got 3: Anne Rice, Queen Elizabeth and JK Rowling.

    28. Brian says:

Huma Abedin, now that we know what her husband does and doesn’t wear.

    29. Mad Cow says:

I would say ex-ice skater Tonya Harding, she needs a 2nd chance to let it all rip – she should take her passion and make it happen! lol!! :)

    30. jerry KATELL says:

Meg Whitman. The brightest, most successful woman around.

    31. jodi says:

Brian Bedford. If he can pull off transforming into “Lady Bracknell”, then his acting and wardrobe should continue to shine in this. ( I know he has been on stage a lot, but not in a role like LL&WIW!)

    32. Jen says:

      Barbara Walters

    33. Rafi Levavy says:

Although not particularly current, Anne Rice would be interesting.

    34. Kristin Maverick says:

Natalie Morales! she’s got the look and has a sassy-ness to her.

    35. Jeryl says:

      Shania Twain

    36. Sarah says:

Coco Chanel, Margot Fonteyn, or Mrs. Bernard Madoff would all have fascinating things to say, I’m sure.

    37. Rebecca LaChance says:

I’m gonna go with…Joan Didion. Her writing is incredible and I think she could offer a unique perspective.

    38. Emily Robinson says:

, Pippa Middleton or vera Wang

    39. elainaremin@gmail.com says:

I’d have to say Kara DioGuardi!

    40. Mariah H says:

I am going to go with Sarah Palin. She may change the story, but everyone before her was wrong.

    41. jspalding says:

I’m going to go with Lataren Milten. If you don’t know who he is watch the youtube video below.
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcqOgnQyXp4

    42. Mary says:

      Condoleezza Rice!!

    43. jules says:

I was going to suggest Sarah Palin, but she already tried her hand at acting when she was trying to portray a Vice Presidential Candidate…

    44. Broadwayjayb@aol.com says:

Julie Taymor- Her Year With Spider-man The Show Is Her “Love”, She “Loss” The Show And She “Wore” A Tux To Opening Night! J

    45. Beth says:

Anna Wintour. She’s a fashion and NYC icon (well, for some), and though she was, perhaps, the model for Meryl Streep’s character in “The Devil Wears Prada,” I don’t think she’s ever acted.

    46. Marilyn O'Connell says:

Maria Shriver – what could she say? Plenty and how!

    47. bob says:

Anne Rice (who’s still writing) is a lot more current than Coco Chanel and Margot Fonteyn!
Was Sarah (above) thinking of having a medium channel them? (Well, Angela Lansbury could always do a Madame Arcati :=)
